3 questions lodged at 2026 Pinnacle (PNI) hybrid AGM

November 2, 2026

Below is the text of the 3 written questions submitted at the Pinnacle Investment Management (PNI) 9am hybrid in Sydney and via the Computershare platform on October 30, 2026. See notice of meeting detailing 7 resolutions. See 6 questions asked at 2025 AGM. Market cap $3.51b on AGM day. The proxies were not disclosed the night before in this enormous 88 page slide pack. There were modest protests against two of the directors as mentioned in the first two questions. Charlie Kingston and other informed shareholders were lobbing good questions from the floor when bowed out.

Q1. Thanks for disclosing the proxies to the ASX last night. There was a modest proxy protest votes against Matthew Lamb's election. Did a proxy adviser recommend against and have you investigated who voted against. What is the issue?

Answer: Pinnacle chair Andrew Watson provided an excellent summary of the disagreements amongst proxy advisers on independence classifications at the booming fund manager. When Matthew Lamb was invited to speak from London by another shareholder, he was very impressive. Watch video of exchange via Twitter.

Q2. There was also a modest proxy protest vote against Andrew Chambers' re-election. Did a proxy adviser recommend against and have you investigated who voted against. What is the issue? Also, what does Andrew regard as the two best decisions Pinnacle has made during his latest term on the board?

Answer: had to leave for another meeting.

Q3. Thank you for once again disclosing the proxies early with the formal addresses and well done for offering a hybrid AGM and also following the agenda, rather than dealing with questions as one job lot. As an additional disclosure measure could you please advise the ASX how many shareholders voted for and against each item, similar to with a scheme of arrangement? This will provide a better gauge of retail shareholder sentiment on all resolutions and insight into the chronically low retail shareholder participation rate. If you do this you'll join a small cohort of companies comprising Stockland, Suncorp, Myer, Computershare, Helia and Web Travel Group running best practice hybrid AGMs in every respect. Even your share registry provider Computershare discloses the head count data at its AGMs. You've got the data, so why not let the sun shine in?

Answer: had to leave for another meeting but they didn't deliver the headcount data in these poll results.
