3 questions lodged at 2026 IDP Education (IEL) hybrid AGM

October 27, 2026

Below is the text of the 3 written questions submitted at the IDP Education (IEL) 10am hybrid AGM in Sydney at Darling Harbour and via the MUFG platform on October 27, 2026. See notice of meeting detailing 4 resolutions. Market cap $615m on AGM day. See 6 questions asked at 2025 AGM. The proxies were disclosed early in the formal addresses revealing a 38% rem strike.

Q1. Why did you move the AGM to Sydney this year? Doesn't that just expose you to tough floor questioning from the likes of David Kingston, the strongest performer Australia has ever seen at public company AGMs. Will a full copy of the AGM webcast be published on your website for the benefit of shareholders who were unable to tune in live and thank you for disclosing the proxy votes early to the ASX along with the formal addresses?

Answer: The chair... Watch video of exchange via Twitter.

Q2. There was a 38% remuneration strike on the proxies today. Which of the proxy advisers issued a report ahead of our meeting and which recommend a vote against the remuneration report. What reasons did they give? Also, what proportion of our share register do we estimate is still owned by universities and did we have any engagement with those university shareholders about remuneration issues and voting that is playing out with today's strike? Will we make changes as as result of this strike or does the chair think it is more just shareholders lashing out due to the poor share price performance?

Q3. Thank you to Andrew Barkla for his many years of service on the board. It is always helpful for investors to have access to some exit perspectives from retiring directors and key executives. In his final contribution as an IDP Education director, could Andrew please comment on what he regards as the best 2 decisions the company made during his journey with the business and, if he had his time again, does he believe we should have done anything differently?
