Whilst Computershare runs the register and was in attendance for the physical component, they chose to offer a Zoom at this physical EGM which was presumably for the absent brass, such as CEO Craig Hutchison, who dialed in. The notice of meeting said they would not take live questions, which was how things panned out. Hutchy and I were the first two into the Zoom as you can see from this Tweet. Awkward silence ensued until a cheerful Annie Hill broke the silence and encouraged some chat, which Hutchy quickly shut down.
Sports Entertainment Group chair Craig Coleman was “unable to connect” so it was left to NED Andrew Moffatt to chair the 10 minute physical EGM. Watch this opening video of him introducing the board.
The three ignored written questions which I lodged via Zoom were as follows:
Q1. Are there any shareholders in the room?
Q2. Is the share registry in attendance to oversee the exclusions?
Q3. Will a copy of the webcast be made available for shareholders who were unable to tune in live?
The second question was answered in this video at the end when you can see the Computershare rep collect the ballots from the top table but suspect there weren't any independent shareholders in the room. They certainly won't publish an archive of the webcast and suspect they didn't even record the meeting.
