This list tracks some of the major residential developments approved in Manningham during the 2008-2012 term.
May 2011, 832-836 Doncaster Rd: 37 apartments approved unanimously over 4 levels.
March 2011, 81 Tram Rd, Doncaster: 37 apartments over 4 levels approved unanimously.
February, 2011, 969 Doncaster Rd: 22 apartments in DDO8 approved by VCAT but application never went to councillors.
December 2010, Chivers Rd, Templestowe: expansion of nursing home from 50 to 83 beds approved unanimously.
December 2010, Coptic Church, Donvale: amended plans supported by officers and councillors in 6-2 vote but rejected by VCAT.
October 2010, Reynolds Rd, East Doncaster: 88 dwellings approved near The Pines shopping centre.
August 2010, Coptic Church, Donvale: major sporting facility rejected by officers and defeated 4-4 with mayoral casting vote. Crs Pick, Mayne, Ellis and Downie supported by the officers and Crs Gough, McMillan, Reid and Lavella voted for the development.
July 2010, Serpells Rd, Templestowe: 88 bed nursing home proposal approved unanimously.
June 2010, 1040-1044 Doncaster Rd: 41 apartments approved unanimously.
April 2010, Berkely St, Doncaster: 57 apartments unanimously approved between Westfield and council offices.
February 2010, Franklin Rd, East Doncaster: 9 apartment development was recommended by officers and defeated 5-4 by councillors. VCAT approved it.
December 2009, Park Orchards nursing home: 91 bed nursing home recommended by officers and defeated 7-2 by councillors. Subsequently approved by VCAT.
November 2009, 31-33 King St, Templestowe: 40 apartments approved in 7-2 vote.
October 2009, Crowne Plaza Hotel: a 9 storey hotel opposite the council building on Doncaster Rd was unanimously approved. It has 181 rooms and 16 serviced apartments.
