email responses

May 19, 2009

Below are some of the many email responses to the bussinessday.com.au article I wrote on Tuesday, May 19 about our success with capital raising and share placement plans.

This one is our favorite, in particular the automated response from our server at the bottom:

Hello Stephen,

I just read your article in the age business section so i thought i would send you an email with an enquiry.

I am a 21 year old student and i have just inherited some $26,000 due to the loss of a family member, basically i would like some advice on where i should go to get help getting into the stock market, i have a beginners knowledge of the stock market and how it all works, but i am keen on learning and investing. I have no idea where to start though!

Thank you,

Steve

Stephen,

I read with great interest your article in today's online Age (http://business.theage.com.au/business/how-to-make-75000-in-three-months-20090519-bdfd.html?page=-1) and have just one very simple question for you.

Why didn't you tell us all of this beforehand?

I kid, as I only have ANZ Shares, but am looking into purchasing more shares whilst the market is low.

Do you know what I could expect to pay in fees and charges for having a stock broker do research etc on shares that are good buys, and not just enact the trade?

Kind Regards

Stephen,

I was very interested in your article to-day, as a small time investor struggling with the reduced value of my super savings (thanks to the greed of others) and now desperate to try to save enough to retire I am interested how one finds out about the capital raising opportunities?

Any guidelines or pointers will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Stephen

Subject: Article on Brisbane Times

Hi Stephen,

I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed reading your article on Brisbane Times- Business Day titled "How to make $75K in three months". For a language which is pretty foreign to me, being the stock market, I really think you have explained it in the best possible way and your article makes more sense then it normally would to me. Not saying I will go out and try and make 75K in three months because it will probably go pear shaped but it definitely has got me thinking about other revenue streams then my fortnightly salary.

Anyway I will definitely keep an eye out for your report.

Cheers
