Stephen Mayne was stuck in Perth at the Fortescue Metals AGM in Perth on Thursday, 8 November, so he sent anti-pokies campaigner Gabi Byrne to the Seek AGM in Melbourne as his proxy to ask a couple of questions about gambling. Listen to the exchanges with a tetchy James Packer here.

The last farewell to Coles
The saga of Coles is over when shareholders approved the sale of the business to Wesfarmers at a meeting on 7 November. Despite ridiculous security we managed to get some audio of the meeting. Click here for the speech attacking the record of CEO John Fletcher after he attempted talk up his record. And with chairman Rick Allert clearly preferring not to be too sentimental, it was left to Stephen Mayne to deliver this final sad sign-off just before the meeting closed.
