Stephen Mayne - Principal

Stephen Mayne is Walkley Award winning former newspaper journalist who founded Australia's best known ezine, www.crikey.com.au, and is now focused on driving greater accountability and transparency across corporate Australia through shareholder activism, whilst still writing occasionally for Crikey. As Australia's best known shareholder activist, Stephen is also the nation's most unsuccessful candidate, having run for almost 40 public company boards and various other bodies that wouldn't have him. He claims to have the world's biggest small share portfolio - more than 700 stocks worth less than $50,000 - which gives him a unique perspective on life as a small shareholder. In November 2008, Stephen was elected as a Manningham City Councillor in Melbourne's eastern suburbs and in 2010 he contested the Federal election as an independent Senate candidate standing on a "no pokies" platform. Stephen is a regular in the media and has done a weekly spot talking business on 774 ABC Melbourne for more than a decade. It can be heard after 4.30pm each Wednesday. More information on Stephen is available here.

Paula Piccinini - general dog's body

Wife of Principal who gets roped into doing all admin work everyone else would consider to be beneath them. Handles speeches, subscriptions, advertising and deals with our very nice bookkeeper. Also happens to be a practising barrister, non-executive director of the RACV and mother of three.

Mark Cornwall - cartoonist

Mark Cornwall has worked as a cartoonist since a brain snap caused him to quit his then day job at the Australian Tax Office Schemes Unit in 1982. From the mid 80s to 2001, Cornwall worked as a cartoonist for the late Bulletin magazine, the Australian Financial Review, The Australian, The Sydney Morning Herald and for Crikey from 2001 to 2008. Cornwall is also a teacher of English to migrants and overseas students owing to the perilous career insecurity of Oz cartooning.

He is available for any cartooning work anytime.
