The Mayne Report is a video blog and shareholder activism web site and newsletter which went live on 19 November, 2007. Much of what we're publishing is free to the public, such as the daily videoblogs.
However, having hired three staff and spent more than $180,000 establishing this little operation, we obviously need some revenue, which is where membership comes into the equation.
Only members will get the inside word on our private intentions, latest board tilts, campaigns and correspondence with major public companies and politicians - such as the campaign to end Rupert Murdoch's gerrymander at News Corp and the campaign against Peter Costello in Higgins.
As a small shareholder in almost 700 companies, only members will an insight into which companies will be targeted and on what issues before the meetings. Only members will receive timely reports from the important AGMs formatted for both their Blackberries and email.
We're promising you an exciting and entertaining insider's ride from Australia's best known shareholder activist, but as part of a co-operative agreement with Crikey, we only have a strictly limited 500 memberships because a comprehensive non-compete agreement remains in place until March 2009. These 500 membership are only available on a first-in best-dressed basis.
